José Maria Rodriguez (Seville, Spain) was born in 1973. Having entered his 30's sitting on the chief programmer's chair of a software company, he is struggling to survive sleeping less hours each night. "There are just too many things to draw and read!"
José is self taught in using black pencil to dirty papers and has been doing such since he was a child. Although he prefers not to be called an artist his skill in art is quite notable. Having spent a few years trying to learn from the old (and new) masters, he also appreciates both the practical and theoretical sides of the art.
José feels much like other illustrators such as Alan Lee, who believe that the atmospheric side of fantasy art should be even more important than that of the visual sensation. With this in mind here is one of Jose's pieces, Domian Rickson, which will be featured in Allegiance: War of Factions.
